High School Memories

Who was your favorite teacher/coach and why: Thad Lubbers, I loved his realistic approach and thinking, and the way he treated us with respect. I also liked his enthusiasm.

What high school experience do you still laugh about: As a math class we turned the desk around on Vern Huber and he banged his knees on the front panel.

What is your fondest memory: Watching the boys basketball team go to the finals 2 yrs in a row. Going out for a smoke in the woods during study hall with a biology pass.

Do you remember a senior prank: I don't remember one Where you a part of it:

Did you make a friend(s) you still keep in touch with: I really do see many people from my class or hang around with any of them.

We are now 33 – give or take a year. What age do feel: I feel 33, but I can tell I'm getting older when I see the new high school students and see how young they are starting to look.

Post High Experience

Best piece of advice received in the last 15 years: " When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one that has been opened for us"

Your proudest accomplishment: I don't like to say proudest accomplishment, because we can't really do anything by our own strength, but I will say that God has given so much to be thankful for and has opened many doors to enjoy. I feel blessed to have a wonderful family and a job that I love.

Favorite thing about your current life situation: I love the opportunity to travel and I love my job and the challenges it brings each year.

Most important life lesson learned (humorous or serious): Consider all your actions before you do them, because all of them have consequences.

An issue you are passionate about and why: Christian Schools, because I believe they are vital for our children. I believe it gives them a great foundation to rest upon the rest of their lives and they will never forget it.
