High School Memories

Who was your favorite teacher/coach and why: Coach VanEngen – State Champs!!, (Sarah Decker – Softball coach – she made it fun)

What high school experience do you still laugh about: In Am. Lit. I got an eigth hour for making a joke about Justin Koole and his “forefathers” (4), (There are a lot of “Kari” memories to laugh about (sorry Kari :)

What is your fondest memory: Jason Kuiper – need I say more?, (Basketball games with friends)

Do you remember a senior prank: Were you a part of it:

Did you make a friend(s) you still keep in touch with: Matt Velthouse & I have to be friends with Wes cuz now he's my boss!, (Thanks to Facebook, there are many.)

We are now 33 – give or take a year. What age do feel: 28, (25)


Post High Experience

Best piece of advice received in the last 15 years: Some days you're a bug, some days you're a windshield, (Enjoy every moment, the time goes so fast.)

Your proudest accomplishment: Coaching varsity baseball at Covenant, (Your proudest accomplishment: Raising 5 children and watching them grow in the Lord.)

Favorite thing about your current life situation: (The kids are growing up and becoming more independent, but we still have all the control!)

Most important life lesson learned (humorous or serious): Money doesn't grow on trees, or anywhere else!, (Don't sweat the small stuff, it's not worth it.)

An issue you are passionate about and why: Giving Obama his change back.
